This popular British magazine orginated during WWI - first issue appeared in 1916 - and has been raising morale every since. Over the years it has been published by different enitites using a variety of numbering systems. The issues from 1972 - 73 were published by Williams Publishing & Distributing Co. Ltd. on a weekly basis. All are 40 pgs in length and contain 2pg color CFs. All of the copies listed are newsstand returns and have the number '40' written near the top of the FC. The issues from 1976 - 77 were published by Top Sellers, Ltd. on a monthly basis and are 32 pgs, no CF. The current numbering system began in 1983 with V1 #1 and ran on a monthly schedule thru V3 #12 (in 1986) for a total of 36 issues, before continuing on with volume #37. Beginning with #37 a fortnightly schedule (every 2 weeks) was established. All issues are 80 pgs in length unless o/w noted.
