The pictorials featured are generally reprints of those found in the regular monthly issues although there are occasional exceptions to that rule and the most common difference is that the feature in the Girls/Girls issue may be shortened from what was in the monthly issue.

The first few issues of this series were part of the "Best Of Genesis" and were dated using the seasonal system (e.g. - Spring, 1982). This was discontinued after 1983 when "GIRLS/GIRLS" became a separate title and assumed a bimonthly publication schedule on the even numbered months of the year.

This lasted thru February, 1986 at which time this series switched to a seasonal numbering system beginning with the "Spring" issue, resulting in a total of 5 issues for the year 1986 (Feb. + 4 seasons). Due to limitations of the system, the issue of Feb. 1986 is out of order.

This system was in turn replaced at the start of 1989 when the format changed to a stapled spine and a new numbering system that mirrored that of the "Best Of" series. For additonal explanation please refer to the notes in the "Best Of" section.
